Coordinated Portfolio Investment Survey

The Coordinated Portfolio Investment Survey (CPIS) is a survey carried out by the Bank at the national level at the initiative of the IMF. The CPIS provides information on Mauritian residents’ holdings of portfolio investment securities (broken down into equity and debt) valued at market prices and cross-classified by the economy of the issuer of the securities. The first CPIS conducted for Mauritius was for year-end 2001 and, as from June 2013, the CPIS is conducted on a semi-annual basis compared to the previous annual frequency.
