Members of the public are hereby informed that His Excellency Prithvirajsingh Roopun, G.C.S.K., President of the Republic, has, in accordance with Section 13 of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004, and upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister, appointed Mr Harvesh Kumar Seegolam as Governor of the Bank of Mauritius with effect from the 1st of March 2020.
His Excellency the President of the Republic has also, upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister, appointed Mr Mardayah Kona Yerukunondu as First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mauritius with effect from the 24th of February 2020.
Mrs Hemlata Sadhna Sewraj-Gopal has been appointed Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mauritius with effect from the 1st of March 2020.
