A Charity Dinner jointly organised by the Bank of Mauritius and Barclays Bank PLC was held on 7 November 2007.
A cheque presentation ceremony was held today at the Bank’s Headquarters to remit to two local Non-Governmental Organisations, namely EDYCS Epilepsy Group and Alzheimer Association, the sum of Rs240,401.- (Two Hundred and Forty Thousand and Four Hundred and One Rupees) respectively. The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr Rundheersing Bheenick, Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Mr Ravin Rao Dajee, Managing Director of Barclays Bank PLC, Dr A Sorefan, President of Alzheimer Association and Mr Y Noormohamed, President of EDYCS Epilepsy Group.
