The Bank of Mauritius together with a number of commercial banks in Mauritius co-sponsored the 13th edition of the Interclub Youth Championship. The event was organised in collaboration with the Mauritius Athletics Association (MAA) and was held on Saturday 7 December 2019 at Maryse Justin Stadium, Réduit.
This year around 800 athletes participated in the Championship from different clubs in Mauritius and Rodrigues. Fifteen best athletes from Rodrigues, selected following preliminaries held at Camp Du Roi Stadium, on Saturday 16 November 2019, also participated in the event in Mauritius.
The following national records were established this year:
- 100 m H - U16 Girls, in 15.38s - by Kimberley Noémie Gwenaelle KISTNAH (Boulet Rouge AC);
- 800 m - U14 Girls, in 2m 32.32s - by Marie Orneillia Elizabeth Oceanne ALKAY (Souillac AC);
- Long Jump - U12 Girls, 4m11 - by Marie Valkerhia Maelys Sheridane EDOUARD (Guepard AC);
- Shot Put - U12 Boys, 10m57 - by Lucas Camil Aurelien JEAN (Rose Hill AC).
