The Bank has posted today on its website the Annual Report on Banking Supervision 2009. The Report highlights matters pertaining to financial institutions falling under the Bank’s purview with particular emphasis on deposit taking institutions.
The report underlines the major developments in the regulatory and supervisory framework with the issue of new guidelines and amendments in the banking legislations. Further, it reviews the performance of banks and non-bank deposit-taking institutions (NBDTIs) with particular focus on the adequacy of their capital, quality of assets and profitability.
