The Bank of Mauritius (the Bank) is very saddened by the loss of lives during the flashflood of Saturday 30 March 2013. The Bank is also deeply concerned by the harsh effects on the lives of many of our compatriots in the aftermath of this dramatic event, and wishes to express its deep compassion and sympathy to them during these dire times.
The Bank has therefore decided to participate in the rehabilitation of the victims of the flashflood and is extending Rs5 million to the Prime Minister Relief and Support Fund.
