The Bank of Mauritius together with a number of banks operating in Mauritius sponsored the seventh edition of the Inter Club Youth Championships 2013. The event was organised in collaboration with the Mauritius Athletic Association on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November 2013 at Maryse Justin Stadium, Réduit.
This year, around 950 athletes participated in the competitions. 650 athletes from 22 clubs in Mauritius and 15 best athletes from 3 clubs in Rodrigues participated in the two-day event. The athletes from Rodrigues were selected following preliminaries held in Rodrigues on Saturday 9 November 2013 where 300 athletes took part.
The following national records were established this year:
- Relay Colt 4x50 m – girls in 31.11s established by Jane Brabant, Selena Ramsamy, Laeticia Favory and Anastasia Monique of Beau Bassin Athletic Club as compared to the previous record of 32.08s; and
- Pentathlon with 161 points established by Bryan Tonta of Rose Hill Athletic Club, improving his own previous record of 155 points.
