The Public is hereby informed that the Bank of Mauritius has issued on 1 June 2010 a banking licence to ABC BANKING CORPORATION LTD. Consequently, the non-bank deposit taking licence issued in the name of ABC FINANCE & LEASING LTD stands cancelled.
ABC FINANCE & LEASING LTD applied for a banking licence in the name of ABC BANKING CORPORATION LTD in keeping with the spirit of section 12 (6) of the Banking Act 2004 which envisages that non-bank deposit taking institutions be encouraged to become banks.
Consequent to the issue of the banking licence, the deposit taking activities of ABC FINANCE & LEASING LTD stand transferred to ABC BANKING CORPORATION LTD.
ABC BANKING CORPORATION LTD will initially offer limited banking products and provide the full range of banking services in due course.
The main place of business of ABC BANKING CORPORATION LTD is 2nd Floor, ABC Centre, Military Road, Port Louis.
