1. Introduction
The Bank of Mauritius (Bank) is embarking on the renovation of its old building situated at the corner of Sir William Newton Street and Royal Road, Port Louis. The Bank is, accordingly, hereby inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified firms with the appropriate experience and resources for the provision of services, as listed in paragraph 2 below.
2. Scope of Services
The selected firms shall be responsible for the provision of the following services:
(i) Project Management (Job Reference: EOI/RB/PM)
(ii) Architectural (Job Reference: EOI/RB/A)
(iii) Interior Design (Job Reference: EOI/RB/ID)
(iv) Structural Engineering (Job Reference: EOI/RB/SE)
(v) Quantity Surveyor (Job Reference: EOI/RB/QS)
(vi) Building Service Engineering (Job Reference: EOI/RB/BSE)
(vii) Security (Job Reference: EOI/RB/S)
3. Eligibility
Expressions of Interest will be considered from suitably qualified firms with a minimum of ten years experience and with proven track record in the provision of the services for which they have expressed their interest.
4. Validity
Expressions of Interest should remain valid for 90 days from date of submission.
5. Requirements
Expressions of Interest should include the following:
(i) company’s profile, including, among others, its name, business registration number, VAT number, names of directors, detailed qualifications and work experience of key personnel, certified copy of last financial statements
(ii) a letter of financial standing from the company’s banking institutions
(iii) a list of individual projects undertaken by the firm in the last five years which have exceeded Rs100 million in total contract value.
Non-compliance with the above will entail the rejection of the Expressions of Interest.
At this stage, the Expressions of Interest should not include
(i) any design response to the project
(ii) any fee proposals.
Additional information, however, may be sought during the evaluation stage. Site visits will not be held at this stage.
6. Submission of bids
Expressions of Interest, placed in separate sealed envelopes with the job reference clearly marked thereon, should be forwarded to the Head Corporate Services, Bank of Mauritius, Corner Royal Road and Bourbon Street, Port Louis, not later than 15.00 hours on Friday 5 March 2010. Expressions of Interest received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
7. Reservation
The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any Expression of Interest or to annul the whole exercise and reject all Expressions of Interest or to repeat the Expression of Interest exercise without thereby incurring any liability whatsoever to any firms submitting the Expressions of Interest or to inform them of the grounds thereof.
