Innov8, which is the Bank of Mauritius Innovation Hub, is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural hackathon, Hacktiv8. This first edition of Hacktiv8 will focus on a Cybersecurity Hacking Challenge exclusively for university students across Mauritius.
The event will be held on Friday 27 September 2024, from 08h00 to 17h00 at the Innov8 premises located at Level 8, The Docks, Tower 4, Caudan.
Theme and Participation Requirements
University students are invited to participate in teams consisting of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) members. Each team must be led by a member of their institution's academic staff. Students may only participate in one team, and each team is allowed only one registration for the event. A selection process may be undertaken for participating teams as deemed necessary.

Prizes
• The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 250,000.
• A cash prize of Rs 25,000 will also be awarded to runners-up based on performance and time criteria.
