The Bank of Mauritius refers to the Public Notice issued on 27 February 2024 wherein the public was informed that a Banking Licence was issued under section 7 of the Banking Act 2004 to Banque Patronus Limitée.
The public is hereby informed that the Bank of Mauritius has, under section 32A(6)(a) of the Banking Act 2004, granted an authorisation for Habib Bank Limited to transfer its undertaking to Banque Patronus Limitée, effective 31 August 2024.
Accordingly, all the accounts held by customers of Habib Bank Limited will be transferred to Banque Patronus Limitée.
The public and customers of Habib Bank Limited are requested to refer to further guidance and communiqué issued by both Habib Bank Limited and Banque Patronus Limitée on the matter.
