Surrender of Foreign Exchange Dealer Licence
by Forex Direct Ltd
On 3 November 2008, Forex Direct Ltd was, under section 14(5) of the Banking Act 2004 (Act), granted a foreign exchange dealer licence to carry on the business of foreign exchange dealer in Mauritius.
In terms of sections 11(7) and 16 of the Act, Forex Direct Ltd applied to the Bank of Mauritius (Bank) for the surrender of its foreign exchange dealer licence with effect from 12 September 2013. The Bank has accepted the surrender of the licence by Forex Direct Ltd.
The public is hereby informed that Forex Direct Ltd no longer holds a foreign exchange dealer licence and has ceased to carry on the business of foreign exchange dealer in Mauritius as from 12 September 2013.
