Mr Ishwar Anoopum Gaya
Mr Ishwar Anoopum Gaya was appointed on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Mauritius in March 2020.
Mr Ishwar Anoopum Gaya is an optometrist having practiced both in Mauritius and the UK. He is currently the Managing Director of Gaya Opticians.
Mr Gaya has served on a variety of boards and was previously chairman of the Audit Committee and a non-executive independent Board Director of SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd.
Mr Gaya is a member of the General Optical Council. He holds a Bachelor (Honours) in Economics and Finance from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor (Honours) in Optometry from the City University.
